DKCBA’s Professional Division is BY AUDITION ONLY: Preparation for a professional career in ballet. The focus is on the fine tuning of technique and to expose the dancer to other dance genres needed in a professional environment. This program will provide a strong foundation for performance by providing performance opportunities and special events as a part of Orange County Ballet Theater. 

AGES: 13-21

Headshot and Arabesque, Video as described below:

VIDEO AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Video to admissions@dkcba.com Subject Line: “Student Name-DKCBA PTD Video Audition”
• 1 Arabesque, 1 Headshot (Classic ballet headshot) photograph
• Please send the video link, (jpeg. or png.) headshot and arabesque via email to admissions@dkcba.com
• Results of your video audition will be communicated by email.

Your video will only be assessed once the payment has been received.

You may click on the audition form and pay online. 

• The video link from YouTube or Vimeo must include the following:
• Short barre: (one exercise on one side, following exercises on the other side). Please include Pliés, Tendus, Rond de Jambe, Fondus, Grande battement
• Center: Adaggio, Pirouettes, Petit Allegro, (Pointe work for girls if applicable)
• The whole video should not exceed 6 minutes.
• The video shows only the candidate, the audio-only music. Neither teacher nor teacher’s instructions can be included in the video.
